Delivery/ Shipping

SM Mobile Traders offers free delivery/shipping nationwide.

If you based within Cape Town, one of SM Mobile Traders agents will personally deliver your order to your doorstep, or whichever preferred location within 1-2 working days.

PLEASE NOTE : If you are located in an unsafe area within Cape Town, meet up would need to take place at a public location.

If you are based out of Cape Town, your order will be shipped to the Postnet nearest to you. SM Mobile Traders takes extra precaution to ensure that your device is safely packaged before being shipped out to the customers nearest Postnet, therefore SM Mobile Traders will not be held liable for any devices that has been damaged during transit.

 Your order will arrive within 2-3 working days. In the event of the device being stolen or lost during transit, SM Mobile Traders will take full responsibility, on condition that Postnet confirms that the device has not arrived to the desired destination.

Warranty/ Guarantee

SM Mobile Traders offers a 6-month warranty on all devices. If any fault occurs during the warranty period, SM Mobile Traders will attempt to repair the device. If the device cannot be repaired, SM Mobile Traders will replace the device of similar specification and equal value.

PLEASE NOTE: any physical damage caused by the customer will void this warranty.The warranty does not include:

⁃ Any damaged caused by physical/water damage
⁃ Natural degradation of the battery
⁃ Chargers
⁃ Speakers/mics

Returns/ Refund

All sales are final and SM Mobile Traders does not offer refunds for any products purchased, unless the device is deemed to be faulty or the information SM Mobile Traders provided about the device is incorrect.

If the device is deemed to be faulty, then SM Mobile Traders will attempt to fix the device. If the device cannot be fixed, SM Mobile Traders is liable for replacing the device. Should SM Mobile Traders be unsuccessful with replacing the device, then a full refund will be issued.

Please note that any returned/faulty devices will need to be returned to SM Mobile Traders in the original packaging with the box and charger.

 

SM Mobile Traders will only exchange your device for the following reasons :

  1. Device is defective (excludes physical damage caused by the buyer) within our 3-month warranty, and cannot be repaired by our qualified technician.
  2. Device gets blacklisted (network blocked).

Selling your device

There are certain procedures that need to take place in order to sell your device to SM Mobile Traders.

A questionnaire will need to be answered as accurately as possible in order to value the device that you want to be sold (see “sell” section in above menu).

If you are based in Cape Town, one of our agents will come out to you as soon as possible to check the device out. If everything is up to standard, an immediate EFT or cash (upon request) will be made before the device is handed over.

If you are based out of Cape Town, the device will need to be couriered to us via postnet (on sellers expense). The device will be inspected, if everything is up to standard, an immediate payment will be made. If the device is not up to standard, we will return the device (on sellers expense). In order for SM Mobile Traders to return the device, courier cost would need to be paid into account beforehand.

PLEASE NOTE: SM Mobile Traders has the full right to reject any devices that they are not interested in purchasing.

SM Mobile Traders purchases the following devices (Apple, Samsung and Huawei only) :

  1. iPhone 7 and newer models
  2. Apple watch series 3 and newer models
  3. Macbook air/pro 2015 and newer models
  4. Samsung S9/note 9 and newer models
  5. Huawei P30 lite and newer models.

Trade In

  • If you have a device that you want to trade in, we will ask you a few questions on your device and then determine the value based on the answered questions.
  • To do the trade-in, you can subtract this amount from any of our devices available and we will make the trade.

Blacklisted

SM Mobile Traders takes strict measures in order to ensure the devices we sell/ buy are not stolen or blacklisted.

If a device sold to us is deemed to be stolen or blacklisted, SM Mobile Traders has the right to take further action if the seller does not solve the matter.

If SM Mobile Traders sells you a device that is deemed to be stolen or blacklisted, the device will be replaced within 7 working days on condition that certain requirements are met. These requirements are the following:

    1. Device is in similar condition as to when it was purchased.
    2. No repair work has been done at any 3rd party repair shops.
    3. Device functions exactly the way it did when it was purchased.

If the original box was sold with the device, then the box should be included in the deal.
